It is obvious that the law is understood in quite different ways in various parts of the world. Yet everywhere people say that the law is being complied with. The polymorphism of jurisdiction in the world has led Norri to ask : what or which is the law actually ? Summa Ius is his answer. Surprisingly, it appears that it is a trailblazing work. The general features, essential qualities related to the law have not been discussed much since Immanuel Kant's Rechtslehre (The philosophy of law), published in 1797. According to Norri, this is due to a confusion of concepts : after Kant, philosophers in the field have been justice philosophers, not legal philosophers. According to Norri, ownership is the most essential concept of law, and he interprets it in a way that differs from the previous interpretations : an object is not owned, but its utilization function. This idea is the basis of the entire philosophy of the law, and it is according to it that justice-related concepts take their places that often are not what everyday thinking might suggest
